Inn-Style Fredericksburg Lodging

In 2004 ground was first broken on the site of the Walch Family property, and The Walch Family house was loaded onto a trailer and relocated to the Northeast side of Fredericksburg. The original owners, Ron and Gary McCready, had been in the hotel business with their parents in San Antonio and decided to build a hotel in Fredericksburg that would set a new standard for hotels in town: an all-suites property with an indoor corridor and stunning views of Barons Creek.
While the hotel was being constructed, the Creekside Bed & Breakfast in the backyard came up for sale and was purchased. This site was then upgraded, and the wonderful, historical property was incorporated into the hotel. In 2008, Live Oak Lodging, a full service hotel management, development, and investment company, purchased the Inn on Barons Creek as a compliment to their other properties, the Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay and the Hampton Inn on the Lake in Marble Falls.
